It’s not very often I get on here as I tend to leave it to the professionals.😂
But John and I just got back from a New Years trip, and it really got me thinking about technology.
Because let’s be real – traveling without technology these days? Nearly impossible. It’s woven into the fabric of our travel experiences. 🌐✈️
These are what I consider some must-have travel apps to make sure you have downloaded before you leave home that have will make your journey smoother than ever! 📲
1. Starting with the airport, these apps can be real lifesavers 🛫
Air Canada or your respective airline (Quick check-ins and schedule change alerts)
ArriveCan (Express lane for Customs clearing)
2. When you are sailing on a cruise ship be sure to download the appropriate app so connecting onboard is quick and easy 🚢
Celebrity Cruises
Norweigan Cruises
Windstar Cruises (no app but you can make it a short cut to your home screen for quick access)
Avalon
3. Offline maps are a great thing to have when you are walking around a city discovering its treasures on your own, but they have to be downloaded before you leave home.
The one I use is a free app called Sygic maps.
I pick the country I am going to and try to navigate which areas of the countries I am going to visit before hand so I can have all the city and town maps I need.
You can upgrade for $29.99 annually but I have yet to see what for.
FYI, Google maps is not available offline for walking directions. 🚶♂️🚶♀️
There are many travel app choices available, but these are the ones I consider essential! Hopefully these apps enhance your travels, and if you have any must-have apps, comment below and let us know! 🤗
