This week we launched a private Facebook page called Target Tours SOLO Connect. Click the link to join. This page was designed to create a community of travellers who may not have someone to travel with and cannot afford to pay the single supplement.

So, what is Target Tours SOLO Program. What we don’t do is match you up but instead facilitate the match. If we get a customer who wishes to share accommodations, we advertise that we have a single traveller willing to share. We only match same gender and for the most part these are female travelers. Once we get another traveller who wishes to share, we provide the names and contact information to both parties to facilitate a chat. Once they have that chat, they decide whether they would make great roommates and book their tours.

So, what do they chat about? We have no idea, but we are sure these may be some of the questions asked.

What did you do in your work life?

What are you most interested in seeing on this trip?

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Do you snore?

Once you have spoken and decide to travel together, you each call separately to book your tour.

What has been our experience since we launched the program? I think we can comfortably say it has been 99.99 % successful. What we have experienced is customers who finish a trip and make plans for the next trip. We have also seen a group of 5 ladies take a single traveller into their group and become great friends. I think what is most satisfying for us is that this is it a great example of living our Purpose which is Connecting People through Travel.
